Chillon Castle is open all year round, excluding 1 January and 25 December.
We recommend you allow 1-2 hours for your visit.
Unfortunately, animals are not permitted on castle grounds. Kennels are available in a shaded area near the castle entrance (by the Castle Bazaar).
Assistance dogs for the visually impaired are permitted upon presentation of an assistance dog ID and when wearing an approved harness. Guard dogs, sheepdogs, hunting dogs and therapy dogs are not permitted.
Unfortunately, buggies and pushchairs cannot be used on the visitor trail, due to the number of cobbles, staircases and narrow spaces. Please use baby carriers where possible.
Buggies and pushchairs must be left in the cloakrooms in the cafeteria (room 4, first courtyard).
You can explore Chillon at your own pace, or with a guide in various languages.
