Looking for ideas for days out to suit little ones of all ages? Chillon hosts children’s activities all year round: from creative and discovery workshops to fun trails and more! Check out our selection of activities for the whole family to start creating and sharing wonderful memories together.
Fun, creative, educational workshops!
During a creative day out, children aged 8–12 take part in workshops and have fun discovering engraving techniques to create their own work of art. They experiment, give free rein to their imagination and go home with their framed masterpiece!

Ateliers d’automne : l’art de l’enluminure
During a creative day out, children aged 8–12 take part in workshops where they discover the art of decorative lettering to create a page worthy of the finest manuscripts. A wonderful opportunity to learn whilst having fun, to enjoy a meal together and to take home some handmade souvenirs!

Discover everyday medieval life in the company of a costumed tour guide who will show you through the rooms of the castle, from the cellars to our great halls.

Discover our temporary exhibition
Follow our child-friendly tour (for children aged 4–12) to explore the works of artists from ECAL /University of Art and Design Lausanne – and discover the sources of their inspiration within the château.
From room to room, a specific source of inspiration is revealed to you; it’s up to you to spot them all before leaving with your certificate as an expert on our exhibition. The leaflet is available at the entrance to the castle.

Drako Club is exclusive to children aged 4-14 and membership comes with free entry to ‘family’ events (excluding autumn workshops). Members get plenty of perks, including free entry to the castle, 10% discount on ‘children’s items’ in the Castle Shop and a welcome gift.

Christmas treats especially for Drako Club members
The castle dragon invites his Club friends to join him for Christmas nibbles. What’s on? A tasty treat, photos with Father Christmas, a Christmas story, plus an arts and crafts workshop. A cosy get-together to celebrate Christmas.

As winter approaches, the castle halls will be decked out with magnificent decorations as we prepare to take you back to the Middle Ages over three special weekends.
